Please someone clarify! NO PETS in apartment rentals.?

   When you call the leasing office or the landlord you need to ask them. Some individuals will make exceptions based on breed, weight or the type of animal. For example some may not accept cats and dogs but allow ferrets or hamsters. Just as some may accept toy poodles but no bulldogs. Some may also require a deposit, ask if the deposit is per pet and ask if its refundable when you terminate your lease. Its property specific so ask, when you call to make your inquiries.

   Tanked pets no, they can't tear things up or go on the floor. Caged animals I would say they would fall with in the category of no pets basically some such as rabbits you can take out and let them roam which means possible messes on the floor.

   It depends on the landlord. No harm in asking how it would be if you had a fishtank.
   Mostly they don't want cats and dogs because of noise and/or damage. Parrots are very loud too.

   I believe you should call the properties because sometimes they just mean no cats and dogs…but some mean ALL….so call to verify it. It would be difficult for us to know because we don't work there but I tried.

   well i live in an apartment and we are allowed to have birds. and fish and maybe a few other animals..but yeah not no dog or cats or much else!

   usually that means any animals that can smell up the apartment or cause a problem. I wold say that you could have fish but that is probably about it

   some places are no animals, if you are allowed any pets, its mostly budgies and stuff

   generally no pets mean no pets.

    It will depend on owner of apartment. If he want only cat then you have to follow his instruction. Now landlord clearly tells before giving apartment that no pets allow. In Dubai landlord make agreement with person who wants to get apartment that he will not carry pets into the apartment.
