Is penny auction watch providing misleading information?

I was lead by this "Self Proclaimed Watchdog Group" to bid on sites deemed safe by them, I didn't know much about penny auctions so I listened to what they said, Needless to say i got taken on bidcactus.com after spending hundreds of dollars and winning nothing, , afterwood i did some investigating and found pages of complaints about bidcactus.com on the complaints board but on penny auction watch site there were none? just a coincidence?, , they made this company seem like an honest one when in actuality it wasnt, I think Penny auction watch or better yet pennyauctionwatch.com is a complete scam, this watchdog group is completely anonymous and could be possibly run by the same people that own the penny auctions themselves. I just want my money back from bidcactus and i'm ticked off at penny auction watch and myself for being so stupid and listeneing to these schmucks, In hinesite why would anybody go through so much trouble to put up a website if they werent making money off of it? And when i surf the forums its the same people commenting on all the penny auctions over and over again, very fishy but i guess its like they say hinesight is 20/20
