Are severe t storm and tornado watches accurate?

i live in north east iowa, and we our county is under a sever thunderstorm watch. the watch is covering almost all of our county. but there is also a tornado watch. and it is barley touching our county to the east. maybe a good 10miles of our county is under a tornado watch. while more then half is covered by a t storm watch. but they are broadcasting it as a full tornado watch. would the threat still be more toward sever things like hail and wind other then a tornado?

Most people don't wear watches anymore?

So I wanted to get my mom a new watch, but now a days almost everyone uses there cell phone to tell the time. So I don't know if a watch would be a good gift or not, what do you think? Would you like it if someone gave you a watch, and would you actually use it or just use you phone?

Where can i get different color wigs?

Okay so im really interested in like Purple wigs…Green wigs….Blue wigs..Pink wigs…red wigs…ect. Lol i dont really know more i just kind of think its cool. and ive Googled alot of things and i found a few that i like but some websites are very un familiar to me and i dont trust every website out there and some of them just cost too much. so yeah …if you can give me some links that would be great (:

Are full lace wigs a good idea? (Please read description)?

I already asked something like this, but no one answered, lol. Basically, all I want to know is: Can a full lace wig replace your own hair? My mom is concerned that I'll get teased for it and someone will pull it off (which I told her is ridiculous, since it's literally *glued* to your head…)

I seriously destroyed my hair over the past two years, so while I'm waiting for it to grow out, I REALLY want to buy myself a wig. If I get some other peoples' opinions, she might let me get it. Any and all help is totally appreciated. Thanks!

How did those white wigs come into fashion during the eighteenth century?

This answer of "lice and fleas" is a myth.
Wigs became fashionable in the latter half of the 17th c. because Louis XIV, King of France, was prematurely bald. In a society which still believed in "the divine right of kings", the monarch embodied the might of the kingdom, and hair has always represented potency (just think of Samson in the Bible). So a bald monarch suggested a weak man, and therefore a weak kingdom; King Louis wore a lush, long, curly wig to make himself, his royal position, and his country appear more powerful. Because Louis was the focus of fashion, he set the styles. If the king wore a wig, all the courtiers wanted to, and what was worn at the French court, everyone else wanted to copy. So Louis' baldness set a fashion which lasted for roughly a hundred years.
Wigs were also fashionable because they represented a display of conspicuous consumption. They were expensive to buy, and required expensive maintenance. Wearing one was a display of one's wealth.
And, these wigs were not generally white. Mostly they were powdered. This was probably done to conceal the fact that the "borrowed" hair wasn't usually a good match for the person wearing the wig. Only clergymen and lawyers tended to wear white wigs. The most common color for an 18th century wig was "grizzled", what we would call "salt and pepper".
