Deductible on my Health Insurance?
Deductible on my Health Insurance?
I am a little fuzzy on a few aspects of health insurance. I am a dependent on my fathers insurance, and I am going to my first therapy session today. My therapist asked me to make sure if I have some kind of deductible (for some reason I think she threw out the number $200).
Im not quite sure what this means. I have a feeling it has to do with how much you get back from taxes, though I could be wrong.
What exactly is it, and how do I know if I have it?

Some Health Insurance policies have deductibles that have to be paid before the insurance pays. The best thing is ask your father since you are a dependent on his policy. He will know what if any is the yearly deductible on the policy and whether or not it has already been paid for 2010. If it has been met already then perhaps all you have to pay is a copay. Your father should have all this info tho.
